Adriaan Boudeling from Flevoland, Netherlands visited Zuidberg last week with two members of his staff. His tractor, a John Deere 6.215R, is currently being fitted with tracks and will soon be commissioned at the arable farm of the Boudeling family. Previously, a John Deere 8420T crawler was used for tillage but due to the lack of a differential, problems occurred with heavy drafts such as on-land plowing. However, Boudeling is strongly convinced of tracks because they strongly reduce the ground pressure and increase the pulling force. For him the two main reasons for doing this relatively high investment. In order to make the right choice, Boudeling has looked at several systems. In the end he decided to use the Zuidberg tracks.
"Many things have been thought through well, and of practical use about the Zuidberg tracks", says Boudeling.
"The cover glasses to check the oil in hubs and being able to switch back to tires provide me with the desired time savings and I am also more flexible".
We wish the Boudeling family a lot of satisfaction with their John Deere on tracks. We will report on the work that he carries out with his combination in a later stage.
