For the new Multihog CX range, Multihog – a leading producer and specialist for multipurpose tractors - equips its vehicles with gearboxes developed and produced by Zuidberg Transmissions.
The new compact CX range has a unique independent wheel suspension system - setting the new standard in its segment. It has a Tier 4 final compliant engine and has a maximum speed of 40 km/h.
The Multihog multi-purpose tractors are used for airport operations, municipal services, facilities management and road maintenance all over the world. The Multihog CX is very compact and at the same time very powerful with its 55 or 75 HP engines.
Because of the weight and space requirements that Multihog had for the pump drive gearbox and mechanical PTO system, Zuidberg Transmissions was called into action to start a brand new development project. The new pump drive gearbox was co-engineered to its ultimate specifications in only 6 months’ time.
The pump drive gearbox has an aluminium housing and is bolted directly to the engine. It not only accommodates the driving pump and the pump for the working hydraulics, but also the optional mechanical PTO system that can be engaged under load.
The solutions developed by Zuidberg Transmissions help by reducing weight and minimizing the space required to accommodate the driveline. The customer specific solution allows the vehicle to have a very narrow chassis.
