Crawler tractors have been around for over 75 years, especially making their mark in regions with wet soils. However, modern wheeled tractors have largely taken their place. Yet, the concept of soil relief with tracks has always stayed with us. This passion led to the development of Zuidberg Tracks.
Zuidberg handles the complete development and manufacturing of both the track system and the rubber tracks entirely in-house. Extensive research into the integration of the drive system, construction, and rubber tracks has resulted in a highly reliable solution.
Tracks cause significantly less soil compaction than agricultural tires—even less than the modern, extra-flexible UltraFlex tires. This was demonstrated in research conducted by Wageningen University & Research, Aeres University of Applied Sciences, and Uppsala University in Sweden, carried out in Vrouwenpolder, Zeeland, on behalf of the agricultural journal Boerderij.
While many people hardly notice the effects of weather, farmers witness its consequences firsthand. From scorching dry summers to heavy rainfall and warm winters, we see it all unfolding before us. Across Europe, weather forecasts are becoming increasingly alarming. It’s wise to adapt our strategies and prepare for the worst.
What about you? Are you staying ahead of the forecast?
It’s possible to retrofit existing machines with Zuidberg Tracks. However, there are cases where our track systems may not be compatible with specific harvesters or forage harvesters.
Considering a new machine? We’re happy to explore equipment options with you and help you find the perfect fit.
